About: I am interested in what can loosely be called the architecture of the photographic process. This has involved a recent project where I photographed the interior chamber of box cameras and more recently still an exploration of the how manufactured objects are transformed via analogue and digital processes. Where the image forms and where it goes to, through a series of interventions, is something I attempt to reconfigure in both images and sculptural objects. Underlying this research is an interest in the idea that despite the connection to the world’s surface and it’s pointing things out, the photographic process manages to resist the subject that we most desire it to see.
