About: I have a practice led Phd from the University of the Arts, London and over fifteen years or research and teaching experience in Higher Education. I am currently Principal Lecturer in Performance and Research coordinator for the School of Media and Communication at London College of Fashion, University of The Arts London. Prior to this I was Director of Programmes for Performance at the same institution. I have lectured at and run courses in fashion design, illustration, fashion promotion and design for performance in a variety of institutions in the UK and internationally. I have been a guest speaker, external advisor and examiner at many institutions and published and contributed to a wide range of conferences on both fashion and performance nationally and internationally. I design for contemporary dance, exhibition and short performance films and my current research and practice is concerned with innovative design methods for clothing and communication informed by the body and interdisciplinary practice at the intersection of fashion, fine art and performance. My background is in Fashion and Textiles and I have designed predominantly for the music industry and contemporary dance. Work has been performed and exhibited in group and solo exhibitions at galleries including The ICA, The Wye Berlin, APT Gallery, Barge House South Bank, Fashion Space Gallery and seen in performance at the Queen Elizabeth Hall, South Bank, the Linbury Space, Royal Opera House, The Place and at the Bolzano Festival in Italy.
